We're back at a great spot this weekend-Bar Seventy One at the I-71/Fields Ertel exit. We played there a couple of months ago and had a great crowd and a great time. They have plentiful seating, a great stage, excellent food, and one of the nicest dance floors in town. It's a great place to unwind and have a good time, so come on out and join us.
We've kept busy the last few weeks with a public appearance at The Redmoor in Mt. Lookout, and a couple of private functions, the Mt. Notre Dame Father/Daughter dance, and a wedding reception at Kenwood Country Club for Amy & Jake Wolfer. The Redmoor is a beautiful and historic venue, and we hope to schedule more dates there in the future. They have an excellent facility there, great ambience and a really nice place. Stay tuned for future dates.
The Mt. Notre Dame function marks our second consecutive year playing for them. It was especially meaningful for a couple of our members, Tom Heitkemper & Paul Wessendarp, because their daughters are seniors at Mt. Notre Dame, and were in attendance that evening. The crowd was "active" to say the least, and while we really don't necessarily want to take direct credit for it, we will point out that the Mt. Notre Dame basketball team went out very shortly after that and won their 4th consecutive state title. You're welcome, ladies!
Finally, last weekend we played for our old friends Dave and Diane Sullivan for their daughter Amy's wedding reception. Like most receptions, it got going a little bit late, built to a quick crescendo right after dinner, then kept going until quitting time. We had a great time performing for the Sullivans, their guests, and of course the new bride and groom, Jake & Amy. We love doing wedding receptions, and always consider it an honor and a privilege to be invited to be a part of such an important event.
Thanks for checking in, and hopefully we'll see you on the other side of the stage real soon!
