It's GO Time Again!

The grass is growing and the long underwear is marked down 90% at Kohl's. You know what that means???? Well aside from the obvious-it's time to stock up on union suits and change the oil in your lawnmower-it means that summer's on it's way, and our play dates are going to come along a lot more often. Good thing too-we're chomping at the bit. We've put our "down time" to good use this year and added a lot of new tunes to our play list. We're anxious to get back out in front of you, our fans, on a more regular basis and see if you like them as well as we do.

We're back at one of our favorite spots this Friday, April 24, at Win Place or Show in West Chester. We always see a lot of friendly and familiar faces when we go there, and always have a great time. We put their stage into expando mode and cram ourselves into a cozy space and have at it with our brand of Horn-Charged Classic Rock N Soul. We'll be joined this weekend by our old friend and former sax player Mark "Fern" Greiner on bari filling in for Blippo, and by Bob Adams on trumpet who'll be filling in for John. For those of you who are interested, Blippo's in Austria plying his considerable vocal talents with his church choir, and John's stuck working second shift this weekend-ugh! Mark and Bob have played with us many times in the past and they both do a great job-we look forward to having them on board this week.

We're excited about our summer season. We've recently booked a couple more dates at Bar Seventy-One, and to date we're scheduled to do festivals at St. Margaret of York, St. Susanna, St. Anne, and St. Gertrude, and we'll be doing community concerts for Blue Ash, St. Bernard and Bellevue AND of course we'll be celebrating our "end of summer" as we normally do with our annual appearance at The Vinoklet Art & Wine Festival, the closest thing to Woodstock this side of Pennsylvania. Also, lest we forget, we'll be teaming up with our friends in Bluestone Ivory for two Blast of Brass concerts in July. We're ironing out details, and scheduling some group rehearsals to bring you a show like you've never seen!

Check back for details!
